Top Cottage
If you’re planning a trip with the whole family or a larger group of friends, Top Cottage is the one for you. We’ve designed it specifically with socialising in mind, ensuring there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It’s a house that’s built for laughter, long lunches, and making memories.
What makes Top Cottage really special for families is the outdoor space. It has its own enclosed garden, so you can let the kids or the dogs run around safely while you keep an eye on them from the sun-drenched lounge. We’re right next door to Cairnie Fruit Farm, and a stay here comes with seasonal passes—so you can wander over for a day of berry picking or the Mega Maze whenever the mood takes you. It’s a huge hit with the younger guests (and the young at heart).
With three spacious bedrooms, one bathroom with waterfall shower, toilet and basin, and one separate toilet, there’s no morning rush here. Everyone gets their own privacy, but the living areas are big enough that you never feel cramped. To ensure everyone wakes up refreshed and ready for adventure, Top Cottage has extremely comfortable beds in each room.
It’s got that lovely “country cottage” feel but with a very modern, polished edge. Whether you’re here to tackle the fairways of St Andrews or just want a quiet week away in the fresh air, Top Cottage gives you the space and the comfort to do it properly.

Right on Your Doorstep
You don’t always have to jump in the car to find something to do, either. Being right next to Cairnie Fruit Farm is a real treat, especially in the summer when you can go over and pick your own berries or let the kids loose in the maze. There are plenty of walking trails right from your front door if you’ve brought the dog along, and the Scottish Deer Centre is just a ten-minute drive away. Whether you’re here to see the big sights or just want to enjoy the fresh air and a slower pace of life, there is always something interesting happening nearby.
Coastal Charm and City Lights
If you feel like exploring further, you couldn’t be in a better spot. We’re only about twenty minutes from St Andrews, which is a must-see even if you aren’t a golfer; it’s full of history, hidden cobbled lanes, and fantastic places to eat. If you prefer the coast, the little fishing villages of the East Neuk are just down the road for a brisk harbour walk and world-class fish and chips.
For a grand day out, the capital is also within easy reach. You can be in the heart of Edinburgh in about an hour, whether you choose to drive or take the scenic train from Cupar. It’s the perfect way to spend a day exploring the Royal Mile, visiting the Castle, or enjoying a bit of world-class shopping before heading back to the peace and quiet of the Fife countryside. It’s the kind of area where you can be as busy or as relaxed as you like.
